Recently, multiple nonprofits have reported issues with delayed fund transfers, lack of support, and unexplained account holds on Flipcause.
Several formal complaints have even been filed with the Better Business Bureau, citing weeks-long delays in receiving donations and poor communication.

Your first step is to formally cancel your Flipcause subscription. There are three ways to do this:
If you choose the dashboard method:
After you submit the form, Flipcause will review your account and reach out with the next steps.
Before your account can be fully closed, you (or a user on your team with admin permissions) must complete a final transfer of any funds remaining in your Flipcause account balance.

Unless you’re okay with losing your donation or contact history, make sure to download all your data before your account is closed.

Save these securely as CSV or Excel files for future use. You’ll need them for record keeping, compliance, and re-engaging your supporters on your new platform.
Once your Flipcause account is canceled, all recurring donations will be automatically terminated. Though Flipcause will notify donors that their payments have been canceled, you’ll still need to reach out directly to preserve those relationships.

Keep in mind: Flipcause doesn’t offer a way to transfer recurring plans to another platform. You’ll either need to invite your donors to set up new plans manually, or use Donorbox’s optional migration service (more on that in a bit).
If your nonprofit uses Flipcause’s hosted WebPack site, cancelling your account will trigger the following:
Important! Your organization is responsible for managing your domain name. Make sure to redirect it to your new website before Flipcause deletes your site.
If you don’t have a dedicated website, you can publish any of your campaigns on a hosted Donorbox page! Alternatively, you can embed donation forms directly onto your new site.
