Did you know that digital wallets are projected to account for 65% of all e-commerce payments by 2030? That’s why offering fast payment options like Google Pay can make a huge difference to your fundraising.
For donors using Android devices, giving through Google Pay is just a few taps away.
Let’s explore why that matters, how it helps your nonprofit turn more visitors into completed donations, and how to set it up.
Google Pay is a digital wallet that stores users’ credit or debit card details inside their Google accounts.
When donors use an Android device and have a Google Pay account, they’ll see the Google Pay button while checking out at retailers, nonprofits, and more. Note that they need to have added a card to their Google Wallet first.
With a simple tap, their saved card details will be filled in automatically. In other words – no scrambling for card numbers, no delays, and fewer abandoned carts or donations.
As you probably know, the faster it is to donate, the more likely someone is to complete their gift. Google Pay, like Apple Pay and other digital wallets, eliminates the need to enter card numbers, meaning donors can give in seconds.
Google Pay wields tokenization and biometric verification (like fingerprint or face ID), making it one of the safest ways to pay online. So, donors are likely to feel more confident sharing their information.
Mobile giving is on the rise, but slow forms and complicated checkouts can lead to drop-off. Google Pay shortens the process and keeps donors moving through to completion – especially on mobile!
If your donation form is hosted on Donorbox or embedded with UltraSwift Pay enabled – and you’ve connected Stripe – Google Pay is already available. No extra setup needed! That means you’re meeting donors where they are, with a payment method many already use on a daily basis.

Once that’s done, Google Pay will appear as a payment option for donors using Android – provided they have a Google Pay account.
Note: Google Pay is available on both Donorbox-hosted and embedded forms. Just make sure UltraSwift Pay is enabled if you’re embedding your form on your own site!
Did you know your Donorbox forms aren’t the only places you can accept Google Pay donations? You can also accept donations through:
Donorbox Events uses Stripe Checkout, which automatically supports Google Pay at checkout. Android supporters with Google Pay accounts can easily purchase tickets or donate online – no manual card entry needed!
Donorbox Live™ Kiosk lets you accept in-person, cashless donations using a tablet or an Android smartphone – and Google Pay is fully supported! Donors can tap their phone or smartwatch to give instantly any time, anywhere.
Use Kiosk Mode with a card reader, or go hardware-free with Tap to Pay on an NFC-enabled Android device.
